HOW TO ENTER THE Woods & Waters Winery
FIRE WINE COOK-OFF CONTESTS
Complete both the Entry and Indemnity forms above and then mail your entry fee
($10.00 per Fire Wine recipe entered). Ideas are Beef, Pork, Chicken, Wild Game, Stews, Chili,
Soups, Gumbo, Mexican style, Asian, Thai, Desserts
NOTE: All contestants may purchase Fire Wine for $10/Bottle to reduce your cost of food preparation prior to the event
INDIVIDUALS : prepare enough to provide 300 samples
(approx 15-20 lbs for ˝ to 1oz tasting samples)
Voting continues until 4:30 PM, even if you run out of food samples
We provide you with 4’ of table space, one chair as well as 1 oz tasting cups, spoons and
napkins. Food must be prepared off site, delivered and kept hot throughout the afternoon.
Due to electrical limitations in the buildings, we recommend keeping your food warm
(if needed) in steam tables with sterno rather than crock pots.
There should be one server for each food entrant at their serving table.
$1,100 IN PRIZES TO BE AWARDED
Five awards will be presented in each of the categories:
· Peoples’ Choice Award – the voting public
· 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards – Independent Judging Panel
Individual winners receive cash prizes
(Peoples’ Choice: $400, 1st place $400, 2nd place: $200, 3rd place $100)
· Best Presentation – Elena Pound – Will take place at 11:00AM

PLAQUE AWARD FOR BEST PRESENTATION
We encourage all entrants to develop a theme and decorate your table area or wear team
attire to generate enthusiasm from the crowd. You can customize your space with
decorations, condiments and chips for tasting. However, do not add decorations requiring
additional electricity (no blinking lights).
Recipes may be prepared with any kind of meat or combination of meats,
and ingredients.
Please bring a table label if your food contains ingredients that might cause an allergic reaction. Example: Contains: NUTS
Contestants need to be on the premises by 10:30 AM to begin setting up.
Space is limited so get your application in early.
Sampling begins at 11:00 AM. The contest will continue until 4:30 PM even if you run out
of food. Throughout the day the Food Tasting Contests will be accompanied by activities
for the kids (face painting), live entertainment music ( 4 BANDS) ,Arts and crafts vendors and a concession stand
What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon in April!
Food Maker/Vendor and its principal owner as guarantor, agree to the following:
1. To pay the registration/entry fee.
2. To occupy the assigned space and maintain it in a neat, clean condition during
the time of occupancy in a manner so as to not disturb other participants or the
general public.
3. To offer a safe, clean product complying with all applicable statutes and regulations.
4. To indemnify and hold harmless Woods & Waters Winery and Vineyards
against any claims arising out of the vendor/applicant action on the premises,
or out of the use or quality of vendor/participant product.
